Behavioral Issues
Sequel TSI of North Carolina is a comprehensive treatment program designed to meet the needs of your child and your family. Since 1985, we’ve guided families like yours through identifying and solving problems that have hindered relationships and your child’s potential for success. We offer a several types of programs to address the following issues. (The links provided will take you to pages on the threesprings.com Web site.)
Teens engaging in dangerous behavior including sexual promiscuity, substance abuse, other dangerous activities.
Teen sexual promiscuity is a warning sign that your family should take seriously. This behavior can be a cry for help from a troubled child.
Without professional treatment, a juvenile delinquent teen's behavior can deteriorate to a dangerous level that may require professional help. Residential treatment can offer a solution and stop behaviors before they become more serious.
More teens are engaging in self-injurious behavior as a way to deal with their problems. Teens who engage in self-injurious behavior harm themselves by bruising, cutting, burning, scratching and other forms of self-mutilation.
We recognize the seriousness of teenage drug or alcohol use. A teenager who uses drugs or alcohol, and who has substance abuse issues, can have a devastating effect on a family.
Oppositional Defiant Disorder can be diagnosed based on a variety of behaviors, but usually involves aggressiveness and a tendency to deliberately bother and annoy other people. ODD-diagnosed children can suffer from adolescent depression and anger management problems.
Many teenage behavior problems mask depression. Even mild depression can lead to self-abusive behavior. We work closely with each child to address his or her personal issues and find the optimal treatment.
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can have a profound impact on a child's behavior. The extent to which these conditions affect a child with an ADD or ADHD diagnosis will vary; therefore, we customize the therapeutic program for each child to meet his or her needs
