(February 22, 2010 - Huntsville, AL) Sharon Laney, VP of Operations for the Private Division of Sequel TSI (Three Springs), was honored at the annual National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs conference which was held in La Jolla, California on January 27-30, 2010. Each year during the conference the “Leadership Award” is presented to someone in the Private School and Program Industry that displays exemplary participation, leadership, communication and dedication to the Industry.
Ms. Laney is a 31 year industry veteran and has served on the NATSAP Board of Directors for seven years, was the Association’s 2004 Conference Chair, served as Vice President in 2005 – 2006, President 2007 – 2008, and is presently Immediate Past President and ex-officio to the Board. Despite all of these contributions, Sharon convincingly maintains that she has “received much more that I have given by associating with professionals across the country- and by participating in all that NATSAP has to offer.” As a keynote speaker for the conference, her topic was, “A Servant Leader.” Ms. Laney recognized all those who have made a difference in her life.
Sharon is a long term resident of Jackson County, Alabama and previously served as their Chief Juvenile Probation Officer. Nina Laney, Sharon’s mother attended the conference and was present during the Award Ceremony.
